The in Between Places.

I often find my photography gravitating towards two things that I’ve been drawn to since I was a boy: the natural beauty of our world and the tasteful, artistic things we’ve built around it. So when I had the opportunity to visit Europe for the first time in September 2022, I knew I’d create some of my favorite images to date.

Within hours of touching down in Switzerland I found myself hiking to an inn on top of the Alps. Only to be in the heart of the Jungfrau region less than 24 hours later and capping it all off with a view of the Matterhorn. For every impressive vista, there were multiple charming and inviting cities in between; I’ve rarely found myself as enchanted with the stops between destinations as I was on this trip.

For every bit Switzerland felt like being in a storybook come to life, Italy was a tranquil respite from the world. From the tiny towns sprinkled across the shores of Lake Como to the painted houses of Cinque Terre, historic architecture and culture seemed to make life slow down and allowed me to focus on the beauty I hope to have captured in these images.
