Equipped with our Canon AE-1, Yashica T4, and a handful of film rolls, we hit the road to discover New Zealand.
On our free weekends, we packed the car and drove across the South Island. Each short trip became a way to slow down and see things differently. Shooting on film transformed the experience, every photo demanded patience and awareness. Without instant feedback, we learned to trust our instincts, to compose more intentionally, and to accept the unexpected outcomes that give film its distinct character
These images are fragments of those moments on the road. A way to remember the silence, the vastness, and the raw, breathtaking beauty of New Zealand.
